A&L Designs LLC
Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 3, 2026 · Last updated: August 3, 2026
A&L Designs LLC ("A&L Designs," "we," "us," or "I") operates aldesignsco.com and provides website design, development, hosting, and maintenance services. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
If you have questions about anything here, contact Alex Emers at alex@aldesignsco.com or (907) 687-4610.
1. Information You Give Us
When you submit a form on our website, request a free preview, or contact us, we may collect:
- Your name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Business name
- Type of business
- Your existing website or social media links
- Any files you upload, including logos, photos, menus, and brand materials
- Any other information you choose to include in a message
We collect this to build your website preview, respond to your inquiry, and provide the services you request. We do not require you to provide any of it, but we can't build you a preview without at least a business name and a way to reach you.
2. Information Collected Automatically
When you visit aldesignsco.com, certain information is collected automatically:
- IP address and approximate geographic location
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages viewed, time spent on pages, and links clicked
- The website or ad that referred you to us
- Mouse movement, scrolling, and click behavior
Session recording. We use Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors interact with our website, including mouse movements, clicks, scrolling, and page navigation. These recordings help us understand how people use the site and where it confuses them. Clarity is configured to mask text entered into form fields, but you should not enter sensitive information anywhere on our site that you would not want recorded.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, understand how it's used, and measure our advertising.
Analytics cookies. Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity help us understand traffic and behavior on our site.
Advertising cookies. The Meta Pixel allows us to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, and to show ads to people who have visited our site. Meta may combine this with information it already holds about you.
Essential cookies. Some cookies are necessary for the site to function and cannot be disabled.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site work. You can opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and manage Meta ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.
4. Text Messages
If you provide your phone number through a form on our website or through an advertisement, you consent to receive text messages from A&L Designs related to your inquiry, including an automated confirmation message and follow-up messages about your project.
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for assistance. Opting out of text messages does not prevent us from contacting you by phone or email about an active project.
We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes.
5. Third-Party Services We Use
We use the following services, each of which may process some of your information under its own privacy policy:
| Service | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Website analytics |
| Microsoft Clarity | Session recording and behavior analytics |
| Meta Pixel | Advertising measurement and retargeting |
| Twilio | Text message delivery |
| Stripe | Payment processing |
| Google Workspace | Email, file storage, and lead records |
| Lovable | Website hosting and infrastructure |
| Namecheap | Domain registration |
We do not control how these companies handle information, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies. We never see or store your full payment card details — Stripe processes payments directly and we receive only confirmation and the last four digits.
6. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Build and deliver your website preview
- Communicate with you about your project
- Provide, maintain, and support websites we've built
- Process payments
- Understand how our website is used and improve it
- Measure and improve our advertising
- Comply with legal and tax obligations
7. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We share information only in these situations:
- Service providers. The companies listed in Section 5, as necessary to operate our business.
- Legal requirements. If required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process.
- Business transfer. If A&L Designs is sold or merged, client information may transfer as part of that transaction.
- With your permission. For example, if you agree to let us feature your project in our portfolio.
Portfolio use. We may display websites we have built, along with the business name and logo, as examples of our work. If you'd prefer we not feature your project, tell us and we'll remove it.
8. Data Retention
We keep inquiry and lead information for up to two years from your last contact with us.
We keep client project files, contracts, and payment records for at least seven years, as required for tax and business purposes.
Analytics data is retained according to each provider's default settings — typically 14 months for Google Analytics and 90 days for Microsoft Clarity.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to records we're legally required to keep.
9. Your Rights
Regardless of where you live, you may contact us to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that's inaccurate
- Request deletion of your information
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Ask questions about how your information is used
California residents. Under the CCPA, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information. Our use of advertising cookies may be considered "sharing" under California law — you can opt out by adjusting your cookie settings or contacting us directly.
To exercise any of these rights, email alex@aldesignsco.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
11. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
12. Links to Other Sites
Our website links to websites we've built for clients and to third-party services. We're not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their policies separately.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be noted on this page. Continuing to use our site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
