Hosting and care
Your site does not stay online by itself
A website is a set of files. Hosting is the computer those files live on and the service that keeps it reachable every hour of every day. Without it, your domain points at nothing and somebody searching your business finds an error page.
What runs in the background
The server
Fast hosting built for small business sites, not a shared box with ten thousand others on it. Pages load quickly, which keeps visitors moving and gives Google a stronger foundation to rank you on.
The security certificate
The padlock beside your address. It protects visitors and stops browsers from showing a warning screen before anyone sees your homepage.
Backups
A current copy of every page, photo, and line of content, kept ready. If something breaks, the site gets restored. You do not lose work.
Monitoring
We are alerted if the site goes down. Most problems get fixed before a customer ever hits a broken page, which means you usually hear about it from us and not from a customer.
Updates
The software behind a website ages. Left alone for a year, forms quietly stop delivering and security gaps open up. We keep it current so that does not happen.
What we do that a hosting company will not
This is the part that separates a maintained site from a parked one.
Edits, handled for you
Prices change, hours change, a service gets added, a staff member leaves. Text us the change and we make it. No logging in, no learning a page builder, no waiting on a ticket queue.
Restoration if something goes wrong
If the site breaks, we put it back. That is not a promise you get from a $12 a month hosting plan, where a broken site is your problem to solve at midnight.
Your forms keep reaching you
A quote form that silently stops delivering is the most expensive failure a local business website can have, because you never find out. We check that the path from form to your phone stays open.
Your Google Business Profile stays connected
Hours, address, and link kept current so the profile and the site agree. When they disagree, customers drive to a closed business and leave a review about it.
Domain and DNS handled
Renewals, records, email routing. When something needs pointing somewhere, we do it. Your domain stays registered in your name the entire time.
The built-in features keep working
The app-style mobile nav and the live open and closed status keep running and keep updating themselves. They are part of the build, not a one-time trick.
Analytics and reporting
You get a monthly report: where you show up in search, how many people came, and how many contacted you. A plan you cannot measure is a plan you eventually cancel, so you get to see what it is doing.
What this replaces
Hosting on your own
Roughly $10 to $30 a month, and the certificate, backups, updates, monitoring, and every edit are yours to handle.
Calling a designer for each change
Commonly $75 to $150 an hour, with a wait attached.
A site nobody maintains
Free until the day a form stops working, the certificate lapses, or the site goes down during your busy season.
Hosting after your build
Your site is yours either way
$1,200 one-time build
You own the site. Hosting is not included in the flat build price, and you have two ways to go.
- Add the $99/month Hosting and Care plan. Everything on this page, including unlimited edits and your monthly report.
- Or host it yourself. The certificate, backups, updates, and edits become yours to manage. The site is yours either way. Cancel our plan and the files are still yours, and we will send you everything you need to move them.
Straight answers
Can I leave the care plan?
Yes. It is month to month and you can cancel anytime with no notice period.
What happens to my domain?
It is registered in your name and stays yours permanently. We never hold a client's domain. That is not a policy we bend for anyone.
Do you charge for small changes?
Minor edits are included with the optional Hosting and Care plan.
What if I just want the site and no plan at all?
Take the $1,200 build and host it wherever you like. We will hand over everything and answer questions while you get set up.
Questions about any of this, text (907) 687-4610. You will get a straight answer, including if the answer is that you do not need us.
